The Director of Acting Department is responsible for planning and executing events, workshops, trainings pertinent to the development of a working actor (i.e.–improv workshops, talent showcases, resume building, acting/technique training, auditioning technique, on-camera technique, commercial workshops, voice-over training, etc.)
PROFESSION AND SHORT BIO:
Raised in LA’s Historic Filipinotown, Maurus Dumalaog is an actor, educator and special events host. He earned his BA in Asian American Studies from San Francisco State University where he taught Ethnic Studies with Pin@y Educational Partnerships (PEP). Upon returning to LA, he received his a Master’s and teaching credential from UCLA and taught Drama and Ethnic Studies at Locke High School in South Central. He recently signed with The Library Agency and is an active member of FilAm Creative covering many of the Behind the Scenes (BTS) shoots, hosting and/or organizing acting workshops.
