From pitching, to funding, to casting, to working with actors, leading a film crew into battle, all the way down to post-production and distribution of their films.

FilAm Creative Presents 8-Week TV Writing Course: Writing the Half-Hour Pilot by Thomas Reyes

Fil-Am Creative is giving YOU the chance to take a special crash course in writing for television and turn your original ideas into an exciting, pitchable pilot. Students will learn to write in standard industry format, and will have completed the first draft of a half-hour pilot by the end of the eight weeks. The course is meant to end shortly before CBS’s Writers Mentorship Program deadline.

Do you want to learn how to write in industry standard format? Create a gripping logline? Master plot structure for episodic and serialized television?
Are you currently writing a pilot, and need motivation to complete it?

FAC IS CREATING ITS OWN CHANNEL!!!

Wait for others to validate you no more. Fil-Am Creative is embarking on a revolutionary new project where we create and distribute our own content.

FAC will combine the resources of its members to:
1) Produce event coverage and educational resources for FAC members and
2) Create several modestly budgeted creative short films that revolve around FAC’s mission, our Fil-Am lives and our world. The creative projects are open to all genres.

The FAC productions will be on-going and the short films will begin with production of Season 1…

FAC is currently seeking writers, directors and producers who want to be involved.
(Cast and crew calls will take place later as projects develop).
If you are a writer, director or producer and are interested, an informational meeting will be held:

HALO-HALOWEEN CELEBRATES FILIPINOS IN HORROR UNTIL HALLOWEEN NIGHT!

The new horror film “Voodoo Possession” has been hosting the FAC blog at filamcreative.org from Oct. 17 until Halloween night.
FilAm writer/director of the film, Walter Boholst, has been programming the blog. Along with behind the scenes clips from the movie, created by FilAm AJ Calomay’s Xylophone Films, there is content focusing on all things Filipino and horror.
