It was a magical night on Fri. 11/15/19 at Night of Radiance: FilAm Creative’s 10th Anniversary Fundraiser. Art Share LA was filled with unity, good vibes, and milestone memories for all involved. Thanks so much to Ren Arrieta of ReAl Images for these treasured photos. Feel free to tag yourselves.
FAC honored the Pilipino Workers Center (PWC) , Patrick Epino and Stephen Dypiangco of the National Film Society and Awesome Asian Bad Guys and Asian AF/ Asian AF Presents: Filipino AF [12/6] for their contributions to advancing Filipinos and Asian Americans in entertainment.
Performances by Jay Aquino, Jason Sistona, Travis Atreo and Alfa Bieselin entertained the crowd. Special recognition from the LA Mayor’s office was given to FilAm Creative Voices Podcast and the current and past board of directors and executive directors of FAC, ED John, Rex Sampaga, Darlene Alcantara Vios, Melissa Arce De Guzman, Walter Boholst, Meriden Villanueva, Tale Walt, and Charles Gray.
It takes a lot of sacrifice, blood, sweat and tears for any endeavor to make it to 10 years and FAC has seen the world change for the better over that time. Hopefully it has been a part of it. Great thanks to all of the staff and volunteers who helped put it together. Congratulations to everyone involved and thanks to everyone for being a part of a special night.

Patrick Epino and Stephen Dypiangco
Founders of the National Film Society and creators of Awesome Asian Bad Guys
Founded in 2011, Patrick and Stephen’s brainy offbeat National Film Society Youtube Channel commentary on the film industry exploded onto the scene, amassing over 1.8 million views and over 12,000 subscribers, and it was one of the founding members of PBS Digital Studios, PBS’s award-winning multichannel network. Along they way they produced the hugely popular “Awesome Asian Bad Guys” movie featuring Asian stars such as Randall Park, Dante Basco, and Tamlyn Tomita. Stephen also produced the Oscar winning short film “God of Love”, became VP of Digital at Ovation and just founded a new company called Dadventures. Patrick, who had previously written/directed the feature “Mr. Sadman” starring Scoot McNairy, starred in the ABS-CBN Cinematographo FilAm film “Bitter Melon” and is a producer and voice actor on Long Distance, a documentary podcast selected for the inaugural Google Podcasts creator program with PRX.
