The documentary film premiere is a way to celebrate National Nurses Week (traditionally celebrated from May 6 to May 12). NURSE UNSEEN explores the little-known history and humanity of the unsung Filipino nurses risking their lives on the frontlines of a pandemic, thousands of miles from home. The film unearths the colonial ties between the Philippines and the United States that have led to Filipino-American nurses becoming the unknown backbone of the United States health industry. NURSE UNSEEN is directed by Emmy award-winning Filipino-American director, Michele Josue.

Marking three years since the pandemic began, we look to our storytellers to model pathways to healing and community building. KAPWA TEXAS follows three young Filipino women as they engage in much needed courageous conversations with their family – informed by the current political and social climate. Directed PJ Raval, a queer, first generation US born Filipino American and award‐winning filmmaker, KAPWA TEXAS is a time capsule during turbulent times, that captures the unbreakable bond between Filipino family and community.

A film centers on life of a Filipino undocumented mother who is fighting tooth and nail to keep her family together. The film portrays the struggles that undocumented immigrants face in the UK. Highlighting the challenges that a mother has to overcome to provide for her family. RAGING GRACE is a must-see.
