Title: In conversation: Filipino Filmmakers in the U.S

Description: With a dedicated curation of the A-lister short films from the Philippines in this year’s Hollyshorts Film Festival, the program has shown the audience what the Filipinos can offer. Let us converse with two Filipino filmmakers who are based in the US and discuss the potential collaboration with Filipino artists, the status of filmmaking in the country, and the challenges filmmakers face in recent times.

This is presented by the Hollyshorts Film Festival and the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).

The Oscar® Qualifying HOLLYSHORTS FILM FESTIVAL returns for its much-anticipated 18th edition from August 11- 20th, 2022, from an impressive 5000 entries, 161 female directors and 101 BIPOC directors and nearly 400 films form this year’s exciting program.
