It’s Birthday Day today this Wednesday, April 18!  Happy B-Day to Vicente Sotto, a Filipino politician, former Senator of the Philippines and the main author of the Press Freedom Law (now known as the Sotto Law, Republic Act No. 53)!  And Ricardo Fortaleza, a Filipino Australian retired Olympic amateur boxer/amateur boxing coach and boxing instructor. What do they have to do with this week’s guest? Nothing! We celebrate birthdays and we gift you with our third episode!!!

FilAm Creative: Voices dropped its Third Podcast/Vidcast today!

The show is produced and hosted by FilAm Creative members who built everything from scratch, including their backdrop (with assistance from Alberto Lapena, Jr) and Pilipino Workers Center as our community partner.

FAC: VOICES is a video podcast in which we have conversations with Filipino Americans in the arts, media, and creative fields. Hosts Walter Talens and Arlyn Dela Pena sit down with prominent Filipino-Americans (Fil-Ams) as they tell their stories, challenges, and triumphs from their unique perspectives.
EPISODE #3:  FAC: VOICES hosts Walter and Arlyn are joined by special guest Filipino American A.J. Calomay of Xylophone films, Producer of Lumpia 2 and assistant editor of Mr. Robot (previously DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl and Covert Affairs), editor of Filipino American film Lumpia and part of the editorial team for The Flip Side and The Debut) .

A.J. talks about his start in the entertainment field, how he found his personal mission, his talent for being a connector, and the myriad of projects he’s a part of. Projects that include Voices crew’s favorite show Mr. Robot!
