In March of 2017, FilAm Creative’s FAC NETWORKS debuted its first episodic series, FAC Behind-The-Scenes on YouTube. To coincide with FilAm Creations’ film challenge initiative proposed in January, FAC:BTS provided coverage and cast & crew interviews while on-location at most of the productions shot in and around Southern California.

With eight original episodes plus a bonus episode, nine out of the twelve short films being produced were featured: Finding Ronwe, Lolo Pepe, Uncle Eddy, Plaza Blvd, What You Don’t Say, Man Of My Dreams, I Don’t Love You, The Last Straw and Miss Understanding.

First proposed to Craig Wilson, FilAm Creative’s Director of Content Production Edwin Santos led the direction of the series and on board were Maurus Dumalaog and Angel Qinan. As you will notice from the pilot to the final episode (the FilAm Creations / Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival edition), the look, presentation and style change. Santos knew going in that he wanted individual and independent presentations.

“I allowed the freedom for everyone to take on roles or positions of new media production that best fit into their strengths and compassions with the tools they already have. And, feel free to experiment in positions you’re new at and see if those areas may be skills they can call their own. That freedom to explore, discover and strengthen their talents as a host, an interviewer, as camera, as editor and / or as producer or content creator is the best way to learn and apply while on-the-job. Both have an individual style and each episode should reflect either themselves or mirror the short film it is referencing. All twelve films are not the same. It is really a creative choice and in my opinion, I find it more interesting to tune in when episodes are not the same.” says Santos.

“Thank you FilAm Creative for allowing me to play with a another passion of mine, hosting with our BTS Series. I love covering events and connecting with people. This has made my acting journey that much more fulfilling!” says Dumalaog.
With Dumalaog co-presenting (with Sheila Tejada) the Pinoy feature film, Saving Sally on its U.S. Premiere a couple of days earlier, both Qinan and Dumalaog became official hosts for the FILAM CREATIONS: A FILMMAKER MOVEMENT Sold Out Premiere Screening of all twelve films last Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the ArtShare LA in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles during the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival.
