2015 will go down as the boom year for Filipino American performers in television and film since the 1990s. And, in our sixth year, FilAm Creative (FAC) have been in the forefront.

With new television shows making their premieres on the small screen in the 2015 season such as “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” (with Vincent Rodriguez III and Tess Paras), “Code Black” (with Angela Relucio), “Truth Be Told” (with Vanessa Lachey), “Kevin From Work” (with Jason Rogel), “Real Rob” (with Rob Schneider) and “Other Space” (with Eugene Cordero) joining mainstays like Dean Devlin’s “The Librarians,” “Pretty Little Liars” (with Shay Mitchell and Nia Peeples), and “Grimm” (with Reggie Lee) as well as on the big screen with “Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Spectre” led by Dave Bautista, “Pitch Perfect 2” starring Hailee Steinfeld and the Academy Award-nominated “Inside Out” co-written and co-directed by Ronnie del Carmen, Filipino Americans have made an impact in entertainment and media! And, there’s no stopping now as this boom continues into 2016 with “Superstore” starring Nico Santos on NBC, “Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life” starring Liza Lapira on FOX, the new addition of Leslie Anne-Huff in “The Vampire Diaries” on the CW and “Independence Day: Resurgence” produced by Dean Devlin.

FilAm Creative (FAC) is an all volunteer community organization dedicated to the advancement of Filipino Americans in entertainment and media. FAC combines “Do-It-Yourself” ambition with a pro-community attitude. FAC have provided its members social mixers, networking opportunities, industry guest panelist discussions and opportunities to collaborate, produce & create original works and programing for FAC Networks: Bidyo (for original fictional works) and the FAC Channel (for original non-fictional programming) .

FAC is a group of filmmakers, writers, artists, photographers, actors, musicians, models, comedians, executives, representatives, lawyers, Filipinos and supporters involved in entertainment and media. While we are Filipino based, membership is not limited to Filipinos; we welcome anyone who believes in our mission and supports what we do.

Among our annual events in 2015 such as the PhotoWalk Tour (in its second year) and the Filipinos in Entertainment & Media Panel (in its fourth year), FAC’s Leadership Team members produced two new events: the Hollywood Actors Panel for Actors and the Free Headshots Project.
